“Waltz of the Butterflies” continues the visual language of the Illusion of the Whole series: a geometric mosaic grid in which each cell holds its own colour, yet together they assemble into a single whole. A warm palette — red, brown, violet and gold — shimmers like molten metal, lending the surface depth and movement. At its centre a white square glows: a source of light and energy from which the contrast of brightness and shadow radiates outward.

Above the dense structure of the mosaic, butterflies drift — fragile, weightless, as if they had strayed by chance into this measured pattern. Their lightness plays against the order of the cells, and together they hold a balance between the solid and the moving, between the permanence of form and the fleeting nature of life. The painting invites the eye to rest on that border, where the rigour of structure and the freedom of flight do not exclude one another but continue one into the other.
