Patchwork of Recollections is about memory — not as something neatly preserved, but as an inner space that keeps shifting along with us. Within us remain very different fragments of the past: vivid, painful, warm, almost erased — some still glowing brightly, others withdrawn deep inside yet still shaping us.

What matters here is the line of fracture: the moment when something shifts so profoundly that not only the situation around us changes, but the person within. After such points the past can no longer be seen as before — it is, as it were, reassembled anew.

And so the work speaks not only of memory but of inner transformation — of how the bright, the lost, and the essential go on living within us in a new configuration. Memory is never whole; it is precisely from these shifted, cracked, reassembled fragments that our inner story is formed.
