In “Attraction”, darkness is no longer an enemy — it becomes the mother of light. The surface of the canvas, like that of a cosmic body, draws the gaze inward, and within its depths golden sparks appear, as if light does not flee from darkness but is drawn to it to be born again. The mixed media — acrylic, oil, gold leaf and sand texture — builds a dense, almost tactile matter in which the shimmer of gold reads like a promise.
This work speaks of the invisible laws of the soul: we do not choose where to fly — we feel the call. And then we fall… or do we soar? Perhaps they are one and the same. “Attraction” holds that question open, leaving the viewer on the edge between descent and flight.
“We are drawn to the depths not to disappear, but to be remade.” — Clarissa Pinkola Estés
