“On the Edge” is a work about the beauty of the sea — the kind you can look at endlessly and never have your fill. The water here lives in every shade at once: clear and turquoise by the rocks, laced with white foam, then deepening into a rich, almost impossible ultramarine. Seen from above, the horizon disappears and only the surface remains, endlessly in motion, with no beginning and no end.

A small lighthouse on the rim of the land holds the whole composition together: it marks the last solid point before open water and gives a measure to all that vastness. The sea never repeats itself — its colour, its pattern, its breathing keep changing — and that is why you can watch it forever.
